Tottenham beat Everton to sign Naughton

It looks like Everton have lost the race to sign Kyle Naughton from Sheffield United after it was reported that Tottenham are ready to unveil the right back as their new signing.

The Liverpool Echo reports this latest news on the saga, saying that the last few weeks Naughton has been expressing his desire to come to Goodison Park.

Everton officials are said to be furious about the deal after they originally had an agreement from the club, agreeing a fee and personal terms with Naughton and were expecting him to have a medical, only for Tottenham to come in and gazump them.

Not much we can do about it. If a player is seriously interester in improving his game and playing under the best young manager in the country then he'll come here. if he wants his ego flatering and the bright lights he'll go to somewhere like Spurs.
