On-loan Everton striker, Jo is delighted to be back at Everton and he now has his sights firmly set on getting to the World Cup with Brazil because of his higher profile playing at Goodison Park.

 The 22 year old is full of confidence after he had a successful time in his country’s under-23 side in the Beijing Olympics where he scored three goals.Jo wants to improve his cap count on an international level, he now has three but he did make his debut for his country in 2007, leaving the player disappointed that he has not played more. But he does believe that with the guidance of Everton boss David Moyes, he should be able to make it back into the senior side.

And Moyes received praise from Jo as he was the man who gave him his chance to get back into top form when he signed him on loan in the second half of last season.

"It is my aim to play in the World Cup so that was another reason for me to stay at Everton," he told the Blues' official website.

"I know here I have more chance to be playing full-time in the first eleven and scoring goals. Only that way can I show the manager that I must be recalled to the national team"

In Jo’s time at Everton last season, he made twelve appearances and netted five goals making him a crowd favourite.
