Today Walsall striker James Constable has signed a permanent deal with Kidderminster Harriers for afee which is believed to be in the region of £20,000, after impressing during a 2-month loan and the Conference outfit. Constable arrived at Bescot Stadium in November 2005 from Chippenham Town, after impressing The Saddlers scouts while playing for the club in the Southern League Premier Division, with many fans believing he was a rushed signing by manager at the time Paul Merson to replace Matty Fryatt who was sold to Leicester City this time last year.

In his first season in professional football, the striker weighed in with 5 goals in all competitions for The Saddlers but the arrival of the likes of Martin Butler, Hector Sam and Par Cederqvist has saw his first-team opportunities limited this season, which promoted Harriers to sign the 22 year-old after he bagged nine goals in all competitions during his loan spell at Aggborough.

Everyone connected with Walsall’s Sporting Network service would like to take this opportunity to wish James the best of luck with the rest of his career…
