Now we all know Darren Bent should be at the World Cup but two Sunderland players who are in South Africa are Paulo Da Silva and new boy Cristian Riveros, both Paraguay internationals.

They get their campaign underway against Italy kicking off at 7.30 tonight.

John Mensah, on loan at the Stadium of Light last season, has had a great start to his WC campaign with his Ghana side beating Serbia last night.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is thought to be trying to negotiate a deal to bring John Mensah back to Wearside but is believed to want the agreed asking price (set in a clause in the season long loan deal) lowered considering Mensah's injury history.
