On a bitterly cold night seven tries and 6 kicks through the posts shows 1st team how to play the game.  

On a bitterly cold and frosty night when the gritters were out dusting the road with salt Westcountry Warriors taught Launceston a thing or two about how to play the game. A high scoring game that did not make the half century but should have given the first team something to think about.

After coming on in the last minutes on Saturday Nick Defty had a good game with the boot once he had got warmed up.  He kicked 6 out of 8 attempts and also managed one of the seven tries.  Tries in the first half for Aaren Cruickshanks, Nic Rouse and Stuart Friswell bought the total to a very satisfying 20 nil lead.  Then unlike the first team on Saturday nothing changed at half time except for changing ends.  The home team seemed to come back with more motivation but the Warriors did not let them cross the line once. Tries from  Chris Lowrie, Tom Arscott, Matias Albina and Nick Defty were all converted by Nick.  Very much a team game today but I did notice that Arscott the younger was everywhere filling in holes and creating overlaps he was my man of the match.

A game that as well worth the petrol money and freezing fingers and toes and was watched by a good crowd mainly of Cornish locals.
