Scotland Under - 21 's lost 2 - 1 to Lithuainia tonight ( Tuesday ) in Vilnius and give Rainer Bonhof his first defeat as Under - 21 manager.
The young Scottish side had started the match better than their hosts. Reserve Sunderland striker Kevin Kyle scored the opening goal after only 2 minutes to give the youngsters a deserved lead after being set up by Motherwell top goalscorer James McFadden.

Scotland could have went on to score a couple more but missed chances from Kilmarnock's Peter Canero and Manchester United's Michael Stewart gave the home side hope and Kucys punished the Scots with a equaliser after 34 minutes. Cesnauskis got the winner for Lithuainia.
Faddy was replaced at Half time for Celtic's Shaun Maloney. Steven Hammell who was on the bench was the only other Motherwell player in the match squad.
