Sorry for the delay on this match report as I was out getting drunk after the game ! Not only are we stranded at the bottom of the table, we just can't seem to buy a point these day's. The Killie game must have been a sore one for all us Well fan's who thought we had got a point. Match Report - Jamie McCallum


It was the same old story for the well with plenty of chances being made but not being taken. Butcher started the game with a change of goalkeeper with woods being left on the bench. Motherwell started the game the better of the two teams with good wing work for Pearo and Lehman going through the centre setting up chances for Kemas and Adams (Captain for the day) but none of the two could finish the Crosses. Mid-way through the 1st half Kilmarnock got back in the game for five minutes keeping goalkeeper Francois Duberdeau busy. The 1st half finished without any goals and without much action up front with most of the battles being fought in mid-field surprisingly by Derek Adams the goal scorer in mid-week.


The 2nd half started the same as the 1st ended with Motherwell having the lion’s share of possession but not creating goals from this. Then Butcher decided to change it by bringing on Steven Ferguson for Khaled Kemas who never looked at all fit throughout the match. Ferguson seemed to lift the pace of the game with a good period of pressure coming form good runs down the wing form Ferguson but the Well looked as they had lost there finishing touch. Then just as most Well fans thought Motherwell had got a point from the game Pearo gave a free-kick away just on the edge of the box which resulted in a game winning goal when Boyd curled the Boyd beating a stranded Duberdeau. The Killie fans went wild as Motherwell fans left heads hanging low. Motherwell seemed to have been robbed after dominating most of the 90 minutes they were once again left with no points.
