City rumoured to be interested in Distin

After a period of quiet on the transfer rumour front, City are today back in the transfer rumour mill. Today's speculation is that City are interested in Newcastle's on loan defender Sylavain Distin.

And today’s rumour is?

After a fairly quiet period on the transfer rumour front, City are today being linked with Newcastle’s on loan defender Sylvain Distin.

Distin, who is available from Paris Saint German, is currently involved in negotiations with Newcastle to make his loan move permanent. The stumbling block however is believed to be the Ł4 million that PSG are asking.

City, along with Blackburn, are believed to be monitoring the situation with interest as Kevin Keegan looks to strengthen the defence after the loss of Stuart Pearce.
