Tiatto to miss LeedsDanny Tiatto has been ruled out of Saturday’s season opener at Elland Road after suffering from a niggling bout of tendonitis.Tiatto has missed most of the pre-season and is still believed to be 10 days away from full fitness so may well struggle to get into the side for the Newcastle game a week later. The injury comes at a bad time for Tiatto as it gives Niclas Jensen a chance to shine in the first couple of games and if City do get off to a flyer Tiatto may well find it a struggle to get back into the first team. Whilst Tiatto may just miss the first two games of the new season, Christian Negouai will be absent until after Christmas. Negouai, who featured briefly in last year’s campaign, is recovering from operations on each of his knees. The earliest he can expect to return is January which may well be to late for him to establish his City career. |
