Craig Bellamy could be in action for Newcastle United sooner than was originally predicted. The original prediction was mid-February, but there have been hints of a January return.
Newcastle United could be given a massive boost with Welsh Wizard Craig Bellamy returning to action, despite having been predicted for a return to the squad in mid-February!
We could have Craig Bellamy back by the end of January," he admitted.
"Originally we were talking about early to mid- February but there's a feeling within the club that he could come back a bit earlier.
"He's keen to get going again and we have missed him."
Robson will be losing Tresor Lomana Lua-Lua when he departs for the African Cup of Nations with DR Congo, but he should then also be able to welcome back Shola Ameobi from his fractured check bone.
"By the time Lua-Lua goes off to the African Nations Cup, Shola could just about be right," admitted Robson.
"Indeed, there is an outside chance of him being available for our game with Manchester United at Old Trafford on January 11.
"Obviously he cannot run at the moment but he is now doing some bike work which is great for his heart and lungs and also his calves and thighs.
"And he could even be on a football pitch in a week's time but we will not rush him."
