MANCHESTER United youngster Jimmy Davis, on loan at Watford, has died in a car accident whilst on-route to the Watford v Coventry City Divison One match. Watford released a statement at 12.20 this afternoon through their official web site saying that today's season opener against Coventry City ahs been postponed.

"Watford Football Club wish to announce that today's Division One fixture against Coventry City has been postponed.

"This is owing to tragic circumstances beyond our control.

"The club will be in a position to provide further information as and when it is able to do so."

It has now been announced that Jimmy Davis who is on loan at Watford died in a car crash whilst on his way to the match.
