Stevenage Borough 2 Halifax Town 1

The Shaymen fall to Stevenage. Playing a man down most of the match Halifax ties the match in the second half but lose on a strike by Anthony Elding. The Shaymen come up short on their travels to Stevenage Borough as the fall 2-1.
Stevenage got on board first with a header from ex Shaymen Brian Quailey in the 18th minute of play. Anthony Elding on the assist with the cross. In the 27th minute Denny Ingram is toss from the game for violent conduct. The score at the half remains 1-0 Stevenage on top. In the second half Halifax Town playing a man down get back into the match as Ryan Sugden puts one in the net from 18 yards out. The tie how ever is short lived as Anthony Elding drills a shot from 25 yards out into the net at the 63rd minute of play. The match end 2-1 in favor for Stevenage Borough. Stevenage moves to the 4th position on the tabel as Halifax Town drops to 6th in the table

Other news from Conference has  Barnet tie at Hereford to stay on the top of the table with 37 points. Carlisle United wins at Gravesend 3-1 gaining 2 points on Barnet  with 34 points and 2nd in the table. Aldershot remains 3rd in the table with a 3-3 tie at home with Morecambe at 28 points. Scarborough wins at Dagenham and Redbridge 3-0 moving them to 5th position in the table with 26 points. Halifax Town moves down to 6th position with the loss today also with 26 points.

Over in Ireland  the lads from Waterford go down Friday night at home to St. Pats 2-0. The Blues are 5th in their table Eircom league Premier Division
