Michael O'Neil of the Timbers 2001 season is playing for Glentoran FC. The Team is in First place in the Premier League in Northern Ireland. Michael O'Neil was fan favorite of the Timbers in the 2001 season and many fans had hoped he would be back last season. Due to lack money the club had to spend and what the coaches wanted to do, he was not offered a contract to come back. Many of us in Timber land including myself would love to have Mick back in the Timber fold. It is good to see that he is on a winning side and doing well. Mick has kept in contact with the fans and would like to come back to Portland to play with the Timbers once again. He is allso looking in getting involved with the soccer community in the area.
