Forest close to agreement over club's debts.

The news that Forest have failed to pay the latest installment of their 20m loan has just been released- but now the club and council are stating that they have almost reached an agreement which could be used to neutralise the matter and restore peace between both concerened parties.

After the news that Forest have failed in the re-paying of their latest payment for The City Ground- it is revealed that the club are now looking towards a new deal which could potentially secure the club a future.

Council leader Jon Collins, who was the same man that revealed Forest have failed in the payment, released this statement:

"We've made substantial progress in discussions with Forest on the matter," he said.

"I'm hopeful we can reach an agreement that will help the club, but will also not leave the city council with significant risk or cost."

He also made sure everybody new that taxpayers would not be forced to pay for this: "It's important we find a resolution to this because the city council can't afford to be £4.5m out of pocket."
