League sponsorship renewed The Welsh Premier League is pleased to announce that Vauxhall MasterFit has renewed its sponsorship contract with the League for a second season. The competition will be known as the “Vauxhall MasterFit Welsh Premier League.” This agreement follows the excellent partnership fostered between the two parties in Season 2004/2005 and was backed by the clubs at a meeting held in Caersws on Thursday evening. As well as being financially beneficial to all eighteen member clubs, they together with the League staff and referees will be able to continue to access the advantageous Vauxhall car lease scheme through their local dealerships. Many clubs have developed excellent relationships with their local dealers, who have supported a number of them with individual match sponsorship and the hope is that this will be enhanced in season 2005/2006. “To be supported by such a high profile sponsor gives the League greatly enhanced credibility and continuity. This following the excellent performances of both Carmarthen Town and Rhyl FC in the UEFA Cup yesterday evening, rounds off an excellent week for the Welsh Premier League. “I look forward to working with Vauxhall MasterFit and their dealers throughout Wales for the continued success of our League."
In welcoming the agreement, Welsh Premier League Secretary, John Deakin, commented: "I am absolutely delighted that Vauxhall MasterFit have decided to back the League for a second season.
