Still no sponsor!

Plaid Cymru, the National Party for Wales have called for the League of Wales to be given much more coverage by public broadcasters, at their annual conference in Llandudno New Page 1

The BBC in particular was accused of providing extensive rugby coverage with only cursory attention to the League of Wales. The Party orignally called for the BBC to provide at least two hours of dedicated League of Wales coverage a week. But this was amended and the motion passed stated that "politicans have no power whatever to instruct public broadcasters to take a particular view, nor should they have that power."

The conference was also told that sponsorship was essential to properly finance the league and there were calls for the Assembly Government to match fund any private sector sponsorship.

Is this just a vote-winning tactic by Plaid Cymru, or do they genuinley want to increase the standard of the League and get better media coverage? Tell us your thoughts on the messageboard.
