ERE's League Fantasy Is Here Again!

Welcome to the new improved ERE Fantasy Rugby for the 2004/5 season! This has become an integral part of our rugby season and I hope as many of you as possible join in to see if you can top the table. I promise that in this league whoever finishes top is the winner.

This year you will be choosing players from 5 ZP teams:
 Bath
Gloucester
Tigers
Saints
Wasps

Click here for the Player Pool

Entry is still FREE and the prize is one that money can't buy - the smug self-satisfaction that you beat all the other would-be JCs, NMs, WSs, WGs and the bloke at the Tigers (whatever his name is).

Rules
Entries to be sent to bathrugbyere_fantasyrugby@hotmail.com.  This saves me the hassle of trawling through the message board to pick up your team and I can also confirm receipt and inclusion in the contest. Please include a team name and your name the one you want displayed as the manager's name.

Each fantasy team must include 3 players from each ZP team chosen from the player pool below.

Each team must have 1 Hooker, 2 Props, 2 Locks, 2 Flankers, 1 Number 8, 1 Scrum Half, 1 Fly Half, 2 Centres, 2 Wings, 1 Fullback.

No team can have more than 1 player from the same ZP team in the same position; applies to Props, Locks, Flankers, Centres and Wings E.g. you cannot have McDanielli on one wing and Frikkie Welsh on the other.  If you want to play players out of position do it within reason i.e. shuffle the back line by all means (like we did all last season) but I don't expect to any backs playing in the scrum or vice versa (blatantly ignoring Danielli the flanker and Scaysbrook the centre) and similarly in
the scrum; I wouldn't expect to see any front rowers playing in the back row etc.

The season will be split into two halves of 11 games each.  At the end of the first half you will be permitted to make up to 3 substitutions but the team must conform to the rules above.

Judges decision (i.e. mine) is final! :o)

Scoring
Scoring is the same as the previous years (I was going to deduct points for Yellow and Red cards but it's hard to get reliable data), namely:

For each match, each player that takes to the field for any anmount of time will score:

3 points for starting the game
1 point for coming on as a sub
1 point if their team wins
2 points if their team scores more than 40 points
5 points for each try they score
5 point bonus for each hat trick of tries they score
2 points for each conversion they make
3 points for each penalty they successfully kick
3 points for each drop goal they successfully kick

If the player does not play (injured, warms the bench, not selected) they get nothing!
