I've just been watching the EFL round-up and marvelling at the simplicity of some of the goals and also at the way individuals in the team actually take responsibility when in a shooting position to take an attempt at goal. All right we are not in the EFL now but we do have players who you think would have the ability and guile to shoot from promising positions. The glaring example was Steve Jennings' woeful pass to nobody when in a perfectly good scoring position. It's sad as has been said on here already that the best effort seemed to be Scott Davies' header in the dying seconds. Why was the hard working Andy Cook replaced when James Norwood's mind seemed to be elsewhere? There's a lot said about Norwood's "running" and effort and yes he is our leading goal scorer, but he really does run up blind alleys at times.
