East Street Investments have 47 days to provide proof of having sufficient funds to complete their takeover of the club, which has been ongoing from January.
The fans have started a Save Charlton Athletic campaign and are extremely angry with the way matters are being handled. They have real fears that they may be following Burys path and will be unable to take their place in L1 next season following relegation.
Thank God we are in good hands with Mark & Nicola Palios, as under their ownership they totally have Tranmere Rovers interests at heart and would never do anything to jeopardise the club.
Sometimes fans get frustrated because they run a tight ship, but the truth is we live within our means are a well run club who look after the community.
In these uncertain times it is more important than ever to sail a steady course and hopefully we will reap our rewards to overturn the injustice of our demotion, delivered by the shambolic EFL.

Yes well said mark and nicola seem to have tranmere rovers fc on a nice steady course and they seem to really really care about the club and the SWA I can see them being here for a very long time and good luck to them too
Things looked a bit bleak a few months ago but now with new signings etc things are looking nice it also feels nice to hear that a good few clubs 'some division 1' were after our new lads and they still decided to come here

And in uncertain times survival is the first priority. Contending for promotion is merely a bonus

But they were two weeks late making signings.

Clearly they are working against the interests of the club.

No shock there. The system is rotten to the core and no artificial salary cap will stop that.

And you can bet the EFL would love to stuff us at their earliest convenience. That would teach us to complain.

The argument is if you are £40M in debt, then a further 200k is a drop in the ocean. But then that was Bury's policy....

However the counter-argument is you people have just done an irreprehensible thing given the circumstances and you need a smack upside the head.

So yeah be another 0.5% in debt, that's smart not.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

how can they be 2 weeks late in signings?
behind the scenes they were talking to players and sorting things out, they have the clubs well being at heart not just the fans interest in immediate signings of players.
i think they know a lot more than you mate by the looks of your post

mrGr's post is sarcastically referring to previous posts about negativity towards Mark/Nicola. Sometimes you have to read posts backwards to get the true meaning; reminiscent of playing a Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd vinyl backwards; I'm not sure if you'll get any satanic messages on here though, but then again anti-Palios rhetoric would definitely fall in to that category 😀
