Looks like (at half time) 7th placed team in League 2 (by one point and may well not have made playoffs) are going up and we are down. Cobblers

How about this theory .If we do appeal and we get some sort of reaction from EFL could they suggest a 2 game play off against the Cobblers ??

Anyone else felt like throwing up?

The good news is that none of the other 3 @#$%& teams got anywhere.

All eyes on Belgium and Scotland now....

Final ruling by Belgian Court of Arbitration due in first week of July. Looking likely to overturn the relegation and recommend increasing top division from 16 to 18.

Let them. They will just have to redo them. The first thing the courts would do would be put the brakes on the EFL rushing ahead until their ruling was completed.

If the rulings go the "right way" are we certain to take legal action given the possible costs involved. Pursuing litigation through the courts can be very expensive. Ask South Shields!

No, not certain, but more likely. Although all the clubs' arguments, including ours, are broadly on the same legal principles there are differences in the detail, as well as different laws in play too.

If the rulings do go the right way though, and emphatically so, and are supported by UK legal opinion, then that alone might be enough to get some movement from the EFL without launching legal action ourselves. But that's being ultra-optimistic at this stage.

Bear in mind too the court hearing going on in Scotland right now is just to decide the way forward for the case. The case could then progress to a full hearing, it could be settled out of court, or it could be put to the SFA to resolve.

seems the key really is the Belgium case, and it sounds - from what you say AM - the result of that will be known before any decision by the Scots courts.
This is crucial, especially if the Belgium decision is likely to be a "good one".

All looking not too bad at the moment, but things can change as we know.
