I'm plumping for a bit of jump blues with the streets being so quiet;
"Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" - Louis Jordan.
Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear" The Reaper" is a little too inappropriate, so I won't mention that one!

Dark and depressing though it is, death/bereavement are an inevitable part of life and a taboo subject for many. I'm a believer that this shouldn't be the case and everyone should have an end of life plan.
I'v already drummed in to my wife that the songs I'm having when I depart are "Coffins Have No Pockets (so spend it before you go)", an old Larry Hart swamp tune. Top of my list though is Ronnie Dawson's "Rockin' Bones"; you can't beat the lyrics "When I die, buried six foot deep, with a rock 'n' roll record at my feet, a phonograph needle in my hand, I'm gonna rock my way right out of this land!" and "I wanna leave a happy memory when I go, I wanna leave something to let the whole world know, that the rock 'n' roll daddy has done passed on, but the bones keep rockin' long after I'm gone" and finally "Well, when I die don't bury me at all, just a-hang my bones upon the wall, beneath these bones let these words be seen: "The running gears of a boppin' machine"...........can't wait!
I might just have to throw "Zombie Nation" in!
On that happy note, I bid you good day; off to do a bit of key working.

O/T but Stevie Winwood was ridiculously young when he recorded that with the Spencer Davis Band... about 16 or 17 I think.

It is said that the band so-named themselves as Spencer Davis was the only one comfortable doing interviews. However, I heard a good source say that it was because Stevie and Muff Winwood's mam didn't want early fame going to their heads so she wouldn't let them name the band after the star!

Here's a video of them doing "I'm a Man" which Stevie co-wrote. He could have only been about 19 or 20 in this but what a voice!

Jimmy McCulloch was also ridiculously young when he was in 1 in a million with his drumming brother Jack, I think originally called the Jaygars. He was 14 when he played on Fredereek Hernando if memory serves correctly.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
