yes...TONIGHT ONE OF OUR FORWARDS SCORED....

Paul Mullin , 61 minutes for Cambridge....
Well done Paul..
Not so well done MM....
Cook and Mullin should have been our front line.....imo...
Ferrier is out of form and Vaughan is still to find his feet in the set up.

So fed up with the situation...

Not great is it,....we needed to kick-on quickly, so why let Mullin go when Cook and Vaughan needed to settle in ?????

We had £1.5m come in in September - now that's still nowhere near the big boys but surely puts us in a position where we should have had money to spend...

Mp won't spend money simple as that and mm is left to sign unfit unwanted by there parent club donkeys .but letting mullin go out on loan was a stupid desition by mm .proves he has lost the plot .I would rather play the kids see what there about see if there is a couple of diomonds. In there as we might be needing them very soon as our injury list and falling out with mm list is getting longer and longer

I like Mullin but he wasn't tearing up any trees in League One - they effectively replaced him with Cook and Vaughan, which looks the right decision on paper

No you are right, but I'm guessing you didn't follow Cambridge Utd's Tweeter feed ? If you did you would have seen this....

"52' Mullin an absolute nuisance for the Bradford back four. He harries the ball away from them, lays it off to Davies who adds a touch too much power on his shot just over 0-1 #CamUTD"

and this...

"45' Superb start from the U's and Mullin. He links with Adeboyejo, and his cross is put behind for a corner with his strike partner sniffing an equaliser 0-1"

No Mullin didn't score today, he did in their last game as you know, but his contribution was greatly noted..

When did Ferrier, Vaughan , Cook, and Payne last score for us ?...
Just saying...

Fair point he was effective in the highlighted snippets but still didn’t score in the league 2 game
Payne hasn’t played first team football so no comparison
Ferrier hasn’t had many minutes in last few games c/wmullin and may be still carrying an injury
Vaughn and cook have had 2 or three games for us
If you want to compare apples and oranges to embellish Mullins new found glut of goals to illustrate a point then go ahead .Cambridge are improving though.
Personally I would have rather kept Mullin but don’t know what the full situation that led to the move

When I first put this topic up it was in part due to frustration at our lack of goals and also my dismay at MM letting Mullin go out on loan, just as he was starting to click in the team.

You mention Payne hasn't played first team football, but wasn't he playing earlier in the season 'cos how did he get 4 goals ???

You mention Vaughan and Cook only playing 2-3 games, yet made a point of mentioning Mullin hadn't scored in Cambridge's game on Saturday, yet that was Mullins second full game/ start for Cambridge, and he scored on his first full debut, so not sure what your point is as Vaughan and Cook haven't scored yet in their recent appearances for TRFC ?

You mention about comparing apples and oranges ????? Don't understand quite what your point is here, as Vaughan, Cook, Payne and Mullin are all professional footballers, have all played minutes for TRFC, and are all still TRFC players, remembering Mullin is only on loan, he's still our player. As Tranmere are bottom 3, I would respectfully suggest that Cambridge and TRFC are at a pretty similar level at the moment as Cambridge are on a good run and moving up L2 and we, well, were going in the other direction.
