Hi every year myself and 3 mates pick a neutral game to go to over the Christmas period for an away day. This year we are attending the Tranmere Rovers v Blackpool game on the 29th December. Just after some advice on which stand is best to sit in (we like to be in with the hardcore vocal fans and have a sing). Also any recommendations for decent pubs to have a drink in before the game?
Thanks in advance.

Alright mate, you'll want to sit in the kop stand for the best atmosphere and both the Mersey Clipper and the Prenton Park are decent boozers, also the fan park just outside the ground is always a good time!

You’d be much better going to one of our away games for a decent sample of what our hardcore is.

As it is though, probably go into the (insert taxi company sponsor) kop and get accustomed with is scumbags.

On pubs, scrap that and get into the marquee outside the main stand!

Fan park before the game.

If you want atmosphere always the away end, though our away fans are the best in the league, but if the 29th is your only date just go in with the Blackpool fans.

If you do go in the kop be prepared. They are protective over seats. Getting close to the atmosphere is difficult as people are literally willing to fight for a seat they think they own as they've sat there before.

Just go in the pool end.

Or join the shiny casuals in the paddock. They do a big rendition of at least one 80s synth pop classic per game and are the best dressed fans in the north

I'm sure the badly one will budge up and let you join him on his sofa to watch the game on final score.

Perhaps Ross was missing a tongue-in-cheek emoji? The Kop is the place to be to meet your criteria.

It's a tasty vibe when you and the "ultras" are in the paddock Kav; wakes up the natives!

I feel Phil got it.

Don’t read into things too much otherwise you’ll turn into one of these snowflakes 50 goes on about.

@Loyden, I always love to meet like-minded Rovers loving folk. I unfortunately am only on the soft drinks though.

I go in the paddock and object to the word "shiny". I'm more of a Matt finish. You can always give the away manager stick as well, which adds to the fun.

I'd love to go in the paddock, but with my marks and Spenser fashion sense and lack of any mod or ska credentials I think I'd be picked on and made to save a place in the half time burger queue by the top boys.

I can nail the falsetto in ' a little respect though'...

My fashion sense at the footy - an old Rovers shirt, pair of crummy jeans, old adidas trainers falling to bits and everything else under that is PRIMARK all the way!

Don't under represent the wild ones, the longhairs and the leather and Brycreem boys from the rocker fraternity. It's Quadrophenia Quarter down there.

Hi mate. The Kop will have the best atmosphere and you will be able to use Aldo’s at half time as well as before the game. The beer here is cheaper than the tent if you are on a budget
