TRANMERE ROVERS 13 OLDHAM ATHLETIC 4 - Bunny Bell scored 9 goals on a cold December afternoon at Prenton Park.

One of my late dad’s favourite memories. He saw the game then rushed off to compete in a Birkenhead Welsh eisteddfod and won.. Not many can claim that!

Wasn’t his 9 goals surpassed by Payne of Luton who scored ten on another occasion but Tranmere 13 Oldham 4 remains the highest aggregate game in EFE ,it was Boxing Day I recall
