See it's a big day for cycle fans in Wirral today with the race on Wirral shores just hope all local councils that the race goes through i.e. Wirral/Chester and into North Wales and back to Wirral ,have done a bit of work on the potholes on our roads esp. in Wirral area.

If the weather clears up and some of the shots on TV will look good in the sunshine around West Kirby/Hoylake etc into Birkenhead Park as long as they don't end up in a pile of legs/arms and bikes because of potholes in our area.(Sm149)

Good view of Prenton Park from the helicopter covering the race on ITV 4

They've resurfaced all the roads round me that are near near the course. That is they've shoved a load of chippings down that will look good on the cameras but disappear like Keyser Soze once the first frost appears. Even spotted a road sweeper on standby this morning already!

Went through Farndon at 1230 am. All the kids outside school cheering. Great sight for them. Seemed there were more police/officials motorcycles, support vehicles press etc etc than there were bicycles.
