A fan in the Town Paddock caused a laugh when he said,"you could grow rice in there!",pointing to a large flooded area of the pitch to the left of the away dug out.This was caused by the ridiculous use of the sprinkler nearby..it should be possible not to use this particular sprinkler head in future to ensure a decent and safe playing surface for all.

Just get McNulty to run over the top it a few times prior to the game and the sprinkler would be too knackered to work properly anyway.

It's just been announced that following the match on Saturday, the ground staff planted fast growing rice in the paddy field ( to the left of the away dug out ) and will be served with curry at half time tonight.
