Tranmere moved to the top of the league yesterday, courtesy mainly, it has to be said, due to current leaders and favourites York City having a blank fixture.

Official update of the league table by the FA is awaited but as Loughborough lost 11-6 at Durham as we were winning in Manchester we leapfrog both Loughborough and York to move into top spot. That gives us a two point lead over Durham and three points over York and Loughborough. Unfortunately, Durham have a game in hand, Loughborough two and York three.

York though still have to play both Durham and Loughborough home and away with opportunities for points to be dropped by all concerned.

I'll post a link to the table once it's been re-compiled by the FA.
