According to the Echo he turned down a bid 30 September. Explains about the "suite bashers" those who most about the suites when we don't invest in the field good read.

The more I hear from Mark Palios the more impressed I am. He loves the club and has a lot of business experience. Don't know who made the bid but I'm glad he didn't sell. I'm also glad that he's willing to take a risk to increase match day and non-match day revenue. One of the reasons we suffered successive relegations is because Peter Johnson refused to invest in us.

It wasn't lack of Johnson's investment, I feel, it was his lack of willingness to secure investment. Even simple things like youth sponsorship, that other clubs were getting, were seemingly beyond him.

I've heard from a usually reliable source that Mr Johnson is still to an extent backing the club financially. This ain't gospel and I have no idea myself but we're I heard it usually has decent Intel and in the past has been spot on.

I don't think its fair to be critical of previous owners/chairman, setting aside current league position if you consider the position the club was in around the early '80s. MP appears to have a plan which focuses around getting both the off and on field side of the club as a functional business, turning round companies is what he is proven to be good at, so we should be looking to the future with come confidence.

How lucky are we to have mark and nicola as he says get the off field stuff successful first and that keeps the funding for the team coming in he also said if we don't go up this year the money will be there at the same level ,brilliant , a bit aside ,my brother went to the Riverhill on Saturday for a meal and it was one of the best meals out he has ever had ,a new chef in situ .the staff think the world of mark and Nicola .so get down there enjoy your meal the perfect place for halfman half biscuit to get back into his wife's good books

I have said on a number of occasions how lucky we are to Have Mark and Nicola at the helm. Is there another club in the country that has a chairman with Mark's football experience and business acumen? I doubt it.

Do you think the bid came off the back of the recent China visit? Or somebody who has seen the potential?

There are two ways of looking at this.

Firstly, that it's unusual for someone to offer to buy a club out of the blue and without making it clear it is for sale. So perhaps the word is being put out there that we are available to the right sort of investor and the bid was turned down because either the fit wasn't right, or there's more money to be made out of it. So I would imagine that the Chinese market is being expanded with a view to a sale. I doubt Palios will want to be here for 20 years, so laying the ground work for a potential sale in the medium term is a good idea.

Alternatively, the fools who ruined Chester and Wrexham haven't been interested in us due to the great work of Johnson wanting his investment back. If that has been written off, and the club is sustainable, that means we might start having those vultures at our door who want to buy the land and don't care if they take the club to obscurity if they make a quick profit. So there might be nothing to this story other than it being a speculative bid by the sort of developer Palios wanted to save us from, but being (rightly) spun to show how well ran we are and the optimism going forward.

Remember Vaughn the iffy guy who owned Chester he wanted to buy Tranmere develope the land and share with Chester till he got us a new stadium that would never appear Peter Johnson chased him ,I am sure if MP did sell the club he would make sure the stadium was protected

I completely trust Mr & Mrs Palios with our club.

I also agree 100% with what he's said in the piece.

To throw everything at the playing squad short-term is asking for trouble. Look at FGR, if they go up or their owner decides enough is enough then they're done for.

Yes, people may argue that our attendances are a lot bigger than the bank-rolled clubs in this league. But attendance money only goes so far. Everything Mr & Mrs Palios have added to the club will see extra revenue being generated for many years to come. They have a business plan in place and when they decide to leave, with Mark fully understanding what this club means, they will make sure that whoever comes in will carry on the same.

I doubt Wolves Supporters would look at it like that where Jez Moxey and Steve Morgan are concerned and if Karl Oysten sells Blackpool anytime soon, many of their fans won't be letting him lie immediately after the events.
