Arsenal investigate Pepe signing.

Arsenal's efforts to streamline and improve their operations has extended to an internal investigation into whether they overpaid for £72m club-record signing Nicolas Pepe.

Don't need a ferking investigation for that answer.
Of course they have.

They should arrange a DNA test to make sure Lille haven't slipped us a ringer.

This is all about governance and this should happen.

Pepe has been pretty good though all things considered. He bossed the semi and final. He was the first person to dribble past VVD in 30 years

Can't wait for Pepe to shut people up. We wouldn't have won the Fa Cup without Pepe, like Flava mentioned.

I think Pepe shows potential and could come consistently good, but, it's a lot of money for somebody with potential, I thought we were getting the finished article when we paid that much for him.

Most people agree that he is a good player and will probably be one of the better players for the club, but it is still true we overpaid.Bruno Fernandes cost United about £48 mil and Pepe cost £72 mil : it's pretty obvious we overpaid.

He won't get much better if at all.
He hasn't got the brains, strength for the prem league.
We got took to the cleaners signing him for that amount.
Probably was only worth 20 to 30 million.
French football his limit.

I think he has shown some good skills and made some good efforts. He's not consistent and good players are consistent, you expect them to do something on the pitch from starting or coming on as a sub. I'm not giving up on him yet, but we definitely overpaid for him.

If Pepe has all those penalties Fernandes has had he’d be on 48 goals this season

It looks look we’ve overpaid for Pepe on this season’s return but some of the@#$%&you’re all spouting is ridiculous. You’re making him sound like Gervinho.

Pepe has been playing in a dysfunctional team, is often isolated and has to beat 4 players each time. He’s improved a lot under Arteta and absolutely bossed the City and Chelsea games.

We’ll see who’s right next season. I fully expect it to be me and GS

Pepe doesn't seem to have to personality to distance himself from the criticism either, he seems very aware of his price tag and kind of goes into his shell.

He looks more like he needs arms around his shoulder treatment more than the hair dryer treatment from his manager.

It is completely on Arteta to get the best of out him. I'm not worried about the numbers he produces. If arteta picks him to start regularly, it will be my barometer to judge him that he is doing exactly what he is told, cause Arteta doesn't look like someone who messes about.

Did we overpay for Pepe? Absolutely. But a lot of that is also down to our ability to pay money upfront and being out of ucl with slim chances of getting back in. When you pay in smaller installments, ppl generally ask for more.

Nobody was saying Fernandes joined a stable well run club when he arrived at United,so let's stop with the dysfunctional
argument.

Also I'm not saying Pepe is a bad player ,but he was a huge overpay hence a huge opportunity cost to the club.

A Toyota Corolla is a good reliable car but that does not mean one should pay 72 thousand for the car.
