Seems like it could be a 3 year deal. They probably had to sack the 55 to pay his wages.

300k p/w reported.. It's pretty high, but I'm sure it will have clauses like if we get to the CL, won europa etc.

Media will only report the highest possible salary shock the players seldom get.

Watched Barca tonight and they won thanks to Messi.
Take him out and they looked a bloody average team.
They have a bit of rebuilding to do of their own.
Think the only thing Aubameyang would gain going there is money because it certainly doesn't look as though they will win trophies in his playing days.
And I fully expect Bayern to beat them next.

I agree with your prediction that Barca are in a rebuild stage, Boston, but he won't earn more money at Barca if we've offered him 300k/wk.
They'll have to pay us his transfer price, so they can't afford 350-400k a wk in wages on top of that.
I suggest that we've only got to worry about Real.M.,as Auba has said in the past that it's the one club he'd love to play at.
Juve are also surposed to be interested, but they've just sacked Sarri, so who knows?

I don't see this at all. Aubameyang just eats, sleeps and breathes goals. He's genuinely a bit sh*t at everything else in my opinion - not that it matters one iota - so I can't see Barcelona going in for him. He'd look like the odd man out in their team and how they play.

I am sure Auba would understand if that happens. No striker wants to sit on the bench especially someone who was a regular starter and one of the top stars and top scorer in his league before. Seeing Nketiah start ahead of him in games wouldn't have helped.

Re: Aubameyang Sky Breaking News.

No other club who can pay 250k/w is looking for a 31 year old striker.
Especially any that Auba would really be interested in joining (Madrid, barca, Liverpool, juventus, bayern, Chelsea, city).

So relax, this will be announced soon.

Re: Aubameyang Sky Breaking News.

May well be soon.
But any future signings would probably like to no whether we have Aubameyang upfront or Dick Crap.

Sounds like a catch 22 situation. Maybe Aubu won't sign without good signings and good signings won't sign without Aubu here.

CazOnARola 18 August, 2020 12:46
Auba is on a holiday. When he's back they will do the photo shoot and announce. We may get Gabriel in next but that's about it. Not expecting any CM signings, including Ceballos before the last week of the transfer window. We are skint and the other clubs are asking for a lot of money

Re: Aubameyang Sky Breaking News.
goonerred 21 August, 2020 08:13
Is Aubu wating for someone to come in for him before he signs? just a thought. I remember Theo not signing for ages and I wondered if he was doing the same thing. His wage demands are a bit high, I d be surprised if anyone comes in for him at his age now. He should grab our offer with both hands. Perhaps we should drop the offer by 10k every week he doesn't sign, that might sharpen his pen nib!

He is waiting for Barca or Real Madrid to call.

His agent may be frantically calling Koeman and Zidane: "Hey, guys, my chap is on his knees begging you all to help him to fulfil his grandma's wish to play for you ...."

He is on a holiday. Will be signed when once they have the PR stuff and videos in place. He is flying back.
If the Gabriel thing goes through, they can announce both..
Auba is not waiting cause there is no chance a team he would like would offer 250k a week to him at this age.
No chance barca, madrid, bayern, Chelsea etc come. They would have younger players in mind

I just don't understand. It doesn't matter if he had signed.. They won't announce without a photo shoot with the clubs official photographer. This is not going to be done when he is out of the country. This is as good as a"new" signing in wengerese. There will great fanfare when this announced next week or whenever.

He is here to stay, no two ways about it. And i myself think this is the most important signing of the season. The midfielders and defenders, even when they are signed, have no guarantees of working out in the EPL, but auba has been consistent. He is the main man and it will be announced some time next week i think.

The Messi thing has definitely changed things. It can easily open up musical chairs in the transfer window.

If he leaves, barca will need a big name replacement.

Now i dont see Auba signing till the end of this window.

Yes but it is definitely a thing with agents waiting.. Maybe they were very close to committing.. We are obviously skint and they would have pushing for more money. We haven't been able to sell the dross which was probably going to be used to finance Auba's wages. The fact that Lacazette is still here means that aren't certain about Auba.
If we can get 50mn+ for Auba from a top club at the end of this musical chairs, that is still a very good deal.

The pbm is if the transfer window closes without selling him, he will ride it out for 3 months and he can get a big pay check in Jan.

I think that is what is likely to happen if nothing happens by oct.

That is exactly what he is doing. Ramsey did it and got a wacking 400k per week, never worth that, but easy for the club when they don't pay transfer fees. This Bosman rule sucks.

I think a bosman rule is fine. Auba should have been given a deadline and a final offer. He should be in the transfer list if he didn't sign.
But maybe its more closer to a yes than a no and the club might be confident of getting it done in the next 15 days.
Or Arteta is clear in his head that he would rather have auba for a season and then lost him to for a free rather than lose him this year, even if it means he can go for free.
We do no not know. It's best to just let this play out without boiling our blood. I still don't think a top club will want a 31 year old Auba, but Messi moving would change everything.

I don't think it is fine and plenty of clubs will want Auba if they don't have to pay a transfer fee. Arteta might thinks it's a yes because he's stringing him along.

I mean you also have to look at from a players point of view. Their livelihood depends on the contract. So bosman rule has its place. And I'm not sure which top clubs got are talking about that will pay auba 300k/w.

Look.at ramsey, sanchez, bale, etc. Clubs struggling to move them on.

Most top clubs that auba would be interested in like real, barca, bayern, Chelsea, City, Liverpool want younger players. Juventus is the only club that will interest Auba but even they are looking to offload older players like ramsey and their offense isn't exactly their biggest pbm is it?

They still got a big pay day by going on a free. Ramsey did anyway. Bale did ok at RM, he's been there 6 years or so I don't think he went on a free anyway. It stsnds to reason if s club is not paying a transfer fee, they can pay higher wages.

Not being good enough for the wages they earn.

Typical for aging players. Most clubs are trying to move away from this and in the process over paying for younger players like Pepe, dembele, Coutinho.

All these were signed before 30. It'll be shock if a top club offers 32 year old auba 350k /w. He will be 32 next year when he plays after a possible free transfer.

I'm sure there would be plenty of takers for ramsey at 130k/w
