Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal are still in contract talks with Bukayo Saka and Folarin Balogun.

The duo's deals at the Emirates expire at the end of next season, but the Gunners risk losing both players this summer if agreements cannot be found.

Saka has established himself as a regular first team player under Arteta, after impressing in his first full senior campaign, whilst striker Balogun is touted as one of the most promising talents in Arsenal's academy, after a prolific goalscoring record at youth level.

The situation has led to the pair being linked with moves elsewhere, with Arsenal already turning down a £5million offer for Balogun from Championship promotion hopefuls Brentford in January.

Meanwhile, Saka has been reportedly tracked by the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, after his eye-catching displays at left-back and on the wing.

But despite the threat of losing both players, Arteta has confirmed that that the club are still doing all they can to keep the academy graduates at the club.

“I’m not worried because I know the club is trying to keep them," Arteta said during his pre-match press conference.

If player doesn't sign straight away, or more or less straight away, don't mess about, just flog 'em. I know it's hard to lose players with talent, but let's face, we're a club going nowhere at the moment, maybe they're right to want to move.
