First walloping of the 'new' season. I think we had it earmarked for a loss so it won't matter.

I fancy us to get a draw at Man City.

Arteta knows the City players and formations inside out and is well placed to think of ways to disrupt their flow. Of course they have better players but I don't think a draw is out of the question. And I would fancy us to beat my local team, Brighton, a few days later. They are not in a good state as a club at the moment.

All 92 remaining games are set to be broadcast live .

Matches will be broadcast live by the Premier League’s existing broadcast partners – Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC Sport and Amazon Prime.

The schedule includes plans for four live games to be broadcast by the BBC, marking the first time live top-flight football has been shown by them since 1992.

Sky Sports will broadcast 64 of the 92 live games, with 25 of them being shown free to air on Freeview.

In order to accommodate all games for live broadcast, kick-off times will differ from traditional times.

Weekend matches will follow a schedule of 8pm on Fridays, 12.30pm, 3pm, 5.30pm and 8pm on Saturdays, 12pm, 2pm, 4.30pm and 7pm on Sundays, and 8pm on Mondays.

Meanwhile, midweek fixtures will kick-off at 6pm and 8pm each day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

It's funny how all the players and clubs involved in the relegation battle are criticising the start of the league. They just want it to be called off so they can have another crack at staying up.

Well they would wouldnt they, and those top clubs wanting to avoid paying back money to TV companies want it to go on. Self interest all round.

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal’s clash with Manchester City at the Etihad on 17 June has been given the 8pm kick-off slot and will be available to viewers in the UK on Sky Sports.

Prior to our clash, Aston Villa will face Sheffield United; one of a raft of new kick-off times created to accommodate the live broadcast of all the remaining 92 fixtures of the 2019/20 campaign.

Sky Sports are set to show 64 matches (25 of them free-to-air), BT Sport a further 20 with the remaining eight free to watch on the BBC and Amazon.

Speaking about the decision to make Amazon’s four games free, Alex Green, MD Prime Video Sport Europe, said: “Like the rest of the country, we are excited to see the Premier League return to action.

“We will be making all four of Amazon Prime Video’s additional fixtures in the 2019/20 season available free of charge; fans will not need a Prime membership to view the games on Prime Video.”

The report also notes that Crystal Palace’s trip to Bournemouth on June 20 is set to make history as the first Premier League game broadcast on the BBC.

The Premier League is due to confirm the rest of the schedule imminently.

Premier League to allow five substitutions on June 17 restart
Shareholders also approve for clubs to increase maximum number of substitute players on the bench from seven to nine for rest of 2019/20 season.

Teams will be limited to three opportunities during matches to make their substitutions - as well as half-time - in a bid to prevent unnecessary stoppages.

Am I being thick.
But I can't see a problem.
You would sub that player after 5 min.
If a player gets injured 10 minutes from the end and you've used you subs you can't exchange them.
Just like it was.

Wow. What a start.
June 17th - 27th. 10 days 4 away games. ( the last of which is the FA cup game at Sheffield. United ).
We'll see how well MA tackles this huge managerial problem.

You can use up to and including 5 subs, but only 3 times in a match. So lets assume after 5 minutes you are forced to put a sub on that ones opportunity gone. 4 subs left. Ten minutes to half time another injury, another sub. 3 subs left. But now you have only one opportunity to use those subs. So the next substitution you make either you send on all 3 subs, or leave some on bench. Either way you can no longer make another substitution.

Sky Sports will include crowd noise and catch-up options as part of a range of new innovations when its Premier League coverage returns on June 17.

In partnership with EA Sports, Sky Sports has created a range of bespoke and team-specific crowd noises and chants to bring the vibrant atmosphere of the Premier League to the restart. Viewers can select the Sky channel to watch with the added sound or with stadium noise.

Not sure what to expect. Just want to see how the game will be played considering face mask and the social distancing thingy

I watched Dortmund v Bayern Munich the other week which is a big game.
Switched it off after about 10 minutes. It was terrible watching without crowd.
Just didn't seem right.

My view may change when Arsenal play.
But can't see me binge watching the games as I used to.
