Premier League clubs vote for return to longer summer transfer window.

Premier League clubs have voted to change the summer transfer window to bring it in line with the rest of Europe.

For the past two seasons, the window in England has closed the day before the top-flight campaign began.

In a statement, the Premier League said the deadline has been changed to the "traditional point at the end of August/early September".

The 2020 closing date will be 1 September at 17:00 BST.

Makes sense. It's not ideal cause we can't shift the start of the premier league forward to match other leagues. But its makes it impossible to move on plays to other clubs and plan a replacement without taking a gamble.

Most deals happen at the end of the window, so it makes sense to be in sync with other top leagues in europe.

No problem with the window changing.
Just that we used to hang around until the last minute for bargain deals. lol
Which always meant we was playing catch up in the league after deadline had done.

I agree with it being in line with the rest of Europe, but I don't like that teams are playing games with players who are either angling for a move, not playing well if they want to go and players playing well against a team, say us, and win, then moving on and your rivals don't have to face him .
