Team against Burnley - another draw in the making

Can you see us scoring more than 2 goals at Turf Moor?
I can't with the team still struggling to understand each other movement and with Dyche savvy enough to understand Arteta perchance to attack down the flanks with wingbacks, cutting inward to narrow the playing pitch and a high line to press incessantly leaving plenty of space behind an don the flank for his Route 101 Football out of the box for road-runners like Wood and Barnes to chase.

They are physical players and will love to bully our midget midfielders and midget defenders in Luiz and Sokratis, bowling them over from deep during corners and freekicks.

Worse, for the last 2 games, Leno looked like a nervous Nellie when crosses are swung into the box, hesitant to stay or run out, resulting in unnecessary goals. I believe this rot started when he misjudged a lob at Emirates with end result that Chelski won 2-1 when we were leading for more than 70 minutes. This means that Dyche will instruct his team to swing in hanging lob into the box to undermine the confidence of Leno, who again will unsettle his defence with his indecision to leave or not to leave the line.

We are going to leak at least 2 goals and we need to score at least 3 goals to assure of victory.

Time to go all out attack to score goals, with committed players who can run all day:

….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. Leno

… Bellerin ….. Sokratis ….. ….. Luiz ….. Saka

….. ….. Torreira ….. ….. ….. ….. Xhaka

….. Pepe ….. ….. ….. ….. Ozil ….. ….. ….. Martinelli

….. ….. ….. ….. Aubameyang

There is a synergy between Saka and Martinelli with both of them covering each other when the other was driving into the box. Saka has more confidence to attack and bring the ball into the box knowing that Martinelli will cover the space left behind at left flank.

Pepe-Bellerin pairing is forcing defender not to double or triple up on Pepe, leaving Bellerin free to run at the defence.

And with Ozil having multi-choice of runners in wingbacks and forward-3, he becomes vital in spotting those passing channels and his unpredictable playmaking.

Xhaka (and Luiz) should be able to start spraying his accurate long passes with plenty of runners now.

He is the joke in the pack with him sometimes hovering at the edge of the box to pick up loose balls and his sudden drive into the box in a goal scoring position or to receive a quick one-two.

With this team and we can't score 3 goals … we will surely be in trouble for the remaining of the season playing against better teams and against more physical and tactical astute managers.
