Not the way I read it, he said he was too dedicated to getting back into shape to bother with going into the city

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

He talks about this in an arsenal.com vid with Bellerin. Doesn’t come across as anything other than a lad who likes a simple life and believes it suits him well. He is quite a homeboy though. Hopefully he settles and develops another loyalty to us.

It's less than an hour flight from Luton. Hardly living in Timbuktu.

Isn't it a refreshing change for a professional football player to want to avoid the night life and party scene so he can focus on improving his game to get into the starting 11? Many pro's (especially the single ones) want to play in a big city like London where the night life is very active. Unfortunately that usually gets in the way of the performance of a top level pro. Kudos to Tierney.
