I don't like the look of our midfield 3. No creative players in there.

He is relying on laca and Torreira to feed pepe and Aubameyang

I'm watching on a a stop start stream, the ball went over and I shouted 'no wide open' and the stream stopped - again. When it came back on a minute later it was showing one nil to them!!! cr&&p

All huff and puff.
No end product.
Look like we will get caught on counter attack.

Number 6 should have been booked then surely

Kalela 01 September, 2019 16:53
That slow midfield trio again. Anyway Xhaka is one of the most useless players I have ever had the misfortune of watching play for Arsenal.

Re: Team news & Spurs match thread.
Gunnersingh1 01 September, 2019 17:10
How many times does Xhaka need to prove he's a liabilty ffs. Stuipd t wat!

Re: Team news & Spurs match thread.
Boston Gooner 01 September, 2019 17:11
Xhaka is a utter @#$%& moron.

This is embarrassing.
We haven't even had a effort on goal.

F uck Emery.

Our defense/defensive play is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Why oh why did Emery give Xhaka a new contract?

We are going to get well and truly tonked here if we're not careful.

Huge huge goal.

Ozil on for Xhaxa. Has to happen at half time!

Re: Team news & Spurs match thread.
Boston Gooner 01 September, 2019 17:20
We needed that Lacazette goal.
Now let's play like a bloody team 2nd half and stuff them.
I f ucking hate Xhaka.

I love Laca he will not be pushed off the ball and when he sees that goal, he's single minded. 1-2 game on. Get lost Xhaka and please do not bring on Ozil, he'll be too worried he'll break a fingernail or something.

From the BBC:

Since his Premier League debut in August 2016, no player has conceded more penalties than Granit Xhaka (five).

Xhaka is just so poor at times. Why do to ground in that situation. Him and Mustafi has cost us so many penalties last few years in with dumb decisions.

Anyway great stuff from Laca. Back in game, need Cebellos or Willock for Xhaka.

I'd like to see Cebellos come on.

Got a point.
But against a poor Spurs team.
Lots of work to be done.
Pepe needs a goal,
bit of a headless chicken at the moment.
Xhaka should never start.
And I'm finally convinced Emery hasn't a clue.

Gouendouzi shone for a good spell in the second half. Pepe looks good but needs to score a couple now. Xhaka, moving on. We need players to match Laca, Aubu, Pepe and Cebello, we'd be on the right track then. Should have won that, Totts were rubbish second half. Kane and Ali should have both been booked for diving.

Sheeesh … let down by Kane and Eriksen as I was predicting Tiny Tott to win 4-2 grinning smiley

Weird game. We looked dangerous on the counter 1st half , but Sanchez at RB was an accident waiting to happen.
You put us under a lot of pressure for a good hour of the game
Both teams look dangerous going forward but very very nervous at the back.

Agree Kane couldn’t have argued too much of he’d booked for diving .
Xhaka should have been booked much earlier in the game. Both him and lamela could easily have been sent off

Both teams there for the taking at spells in the game, but I suppose our confidence and current contract issues probably meant it was a good time to play Spurs for Arsenal.

I think you will finish above Utd and Chelsea this season, but think City and Liverpool still look way ahead of those below them

no, put your wallet away Jack, that was too easy

Cheers Flava

I’m ok. Got three kids now and in a bloody demanding job living in singapore. I miss the days I had a more child life and more time to post on forums about Football . Life can be bloody stressful these days , and sometimes you lose sight of the basics and genuine good things in life

Did you guys think Cellabos should have started ? Why do you think the manger chose not to start him ? Fitness or tactical ?

Really entertaining NLD even if some uncomfortable watching as fans . I struggle to stay chilled normally even without the suicidal defending in that match from both teams

The first thing that stood out to me is why the funk do we not have a creative midfielder in the middle of the park, at home, in the NLD.

That cost us first half as well as Xhaka being one of the poorest players in recent years. Why do people (namely the manager) continue to play this buffoon. Awful player.
