Can you name our best midfield 3

Because I can’t

I thought it would be something like Torriera Ceballos and Özil but Willock and Guendouzi have thrown spanner’s in the work. What’s yours

Guendouzi, Ceballos, Willock.

I'm still a Ozil fan but away from home against tough teams that's the 3 I'd go with.

Honestly I think Özil is invaluable with the front 3 that we have now

I'm saying torriera willock ceballos.

Then guendozi, then xhaka elneny and maybe like Chambers.

I'd also like to see mhiki play inside instead of being stuck on the wing.

Ceballos Torreira Xhaka

unrelenting pressure, away from home, on a bad surface

Re: Can you name our best midfield 3

I can't too.

Guess this will be my preference when all players are fit and regain their match-sharpness

… Bellerin ….. Torreira .…. …… WIllock ….. Tierney
….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. Ceballos

….. ….. ….. ….. Lacazette ….. ….. Aubameyang

It will be 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 with Pepe.

Ceballos is the key player for me and Emery was astute to recognise that he has a gem on his hands with an awesome engine that cna play both No. 10 and No. 8 in the same game, floating between FORWARD and MIDFIELD to link-up midfield and forward line wiht plenty of passing options to pacy forwards and attacking wingbacks in Bellerin and Tierney.

Emery has delicious choices of playing 4-2-3-1 or 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 to suit what kind of opponents we ar facing on that day.

Exactly. Especially pepe with his nside runs. We haven't seen it yet cause he hasn't played much.
If we had someone like kante who could win the ball back so much, ozil ceballos and kante could work.

But we don't so, the only way ozil and Ceballos will be in the same team is if ozil plays in the wings

Expect to see a lot more rotation in all positions. That's why squad depth is vital

You are taking the mick leaving our Özil entirely

I like the idea of any midfield that doesn't have Xhaka in it.

Guendouzi shouldn't be anywhere near our starting lineup. But then neither should xhaka.

Ozil torreira and ceballos

Guendouzi is better than Torreira.

Torreira started good but his lack of pace, strengh and height is there for all to see. I very much doubt he'll be here next season.

Look at Russell Mount at Chelski, and Harry Wink at Tiny Totts.

The nearest player we have to Russell Mount is Emile Smith-Rowe.
If Joe WIllock continues to develop, he will be equal to Harry Wink.

If Guendouzi continues to develop his football brain, posiitonal awareness and reading of the game, then he can be the regista playing deep with Willock as the deensive hardman and SMith-Rowe to takeover the No. 10.

Those three should be our core for next season or the next.

Again on Torreira.
He is still work-in-progress and needs more development.
But I fear that he will return to Italy next season.
La Liga suits Torreira better than EPL.
But we still lack a creative playmaker in the mould of Fabregas or Ozil.
Who is the youth we are looking at to takeover from Ozil and Ceballos?

Guendouzi dwells too much on the ball. Also Torreira is much better at releasing the ball in a way that exposes the back four and five.

Torreira s only problem is what GS mentioned. Size. But guendouzi is no way better cause he lacks in the football brain department both offensively and defensively compared to Torreira

Guendouzi is a squad player at best.

A lot depends on what formation we're playing but
..Torreira......Ceballos
.................Ozil
appeals to me the most. These 3 have the most talent and skill value.

He was intercepting and passing for a long spell in the second half. Dropped off a bit last 10 mins.

Love his all-action and covering all blades of grass all over the pitch.
And that assist for Auba equalizer.
