Great work as ever Merl but how can you say we flopped because of profligate strikers? We had a terrible defence and a porous, plodding midfield. Strikers were often the only functioning component!

That penalty miss against Tiny Totts was painful and still hurt.

If Aubamyang and Lacazette and Iwobi and Mkhitaryan had put away just ONE of those numerous clear chances cleared, it was he difference between 4th and 5th spot.


Yes, we have a porous defence, but the philosophy was then "if you scored 4 goals against us, we will score 5 goals to beat you."
