We've all been scratching our head on who would succeed that crybaby Kos with no natural leaders in the squad.

But whether you like the Luiz signing we now have just that. Has skippered the Brazil national side as well so he has to be named captain surely.

One of the 5 captains maybe, but outright club captain ala Kos I doubt it.

We dont have a stand out candidate for captain hence why Emery has gone the 5 captains route. I dont see that changing now that Luiz has arrived, he wasnt captain or even vice-captain last season at Chelsea and I think it would go down well if he was suddenly named club captain and the 5 captain model scrapped.
The 5 captain situation is far from ideal, with the armband probably changing from week to week and competition to competition as well. Lets be honest though, the role has been eroded so much over the last few years it barely makes a difference any more.
