Talksports article :

David Luiz completed his medical at Arsenal this morning and has signed a two-year contract with the club.

The Brazilian defender is leaving Chelsea today after being told by Frank Lampard that he would not play a prominent role in his plans this season.

The London Evening Standard report that Luiz will move across London having trained away from the Blues first team this week.

He demanded a move yesterday morning and an £8m deal is all but done.

'Will not play a prominent role'. Who is Frankie going to play instead then?

We already have one long hair dude on the team. Don't need another.

Side show bob has landed. So we don't have a choice. I'd prefer luiz over chambers and mustafi

Elneny makes it 3 long hairs

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

At this stage of the window I'm very happy with this. Despite a tendency for the odd calamity moment, I'm having cold sweats at the thought of Luiz alongside Mustafi.

Albert Einstein once said: "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

His passing is really good. I'm more excited by this than I should be. That says a lot about our CBs I think.

Don't @ me when his leg falls off and he turns out to be @#$%&.

This signing speaks more to the desperate situation that we found ourselves in at CB following years of neglect at this position by the wenger regime. It is no accident that the academy produced little talent here and there has been nothing in our pipeline to develop.

IMO, signing Luiz is smart business. We picked up a ton of experience for a relatively low price in a crisis. And I have to think that Edu had an opinion with this move.

Believe me, Luiz the clown would never be my first choice. There is plenty to criticise. I have despised him since he first showed up in the PL. I laughed at his sh!tshow captaincy for brazil in their disastrous WC exit. He could very well cost us as VAR will expose his dark arts.

But, he is ours now.
David Luiz is a Gunner (Lawd have mercy!)
I am hopeful that he will make us forget the fragile traitor and the headless slider.

Strangely I am too. I hope it works out.
