We're getting Perisic lads

Well not exactly, but according to David Ornstein on Twitter we've made an approach.

Let's not delve into the logistics of this for now. Let's not ask 'Why would Inter loan him out?' and let's just dream.

I know what, let's plant stories to make these idiot Arsenal fans think we're intereated in top players.

This club are taking the @#$%& out of our fans!

Don't know much about him? I see that he's 29 and they want Β£35 for him if we buy him in summer.

Doesn't fit our (required) transfer strategy of lowering the wage bill and lowering the squad's average age with young, hungry talents, and I don't believe it for one second.

Very good player though.

Not required

Kalela 26 January, 2019 18:16
Wish it was Rebic instead but Perisic would actually be a decent addition for this team. He works hard. If the team is really interested in Perisic then Ramsey may be leaving in January.

It does look like a serious approach is being made

Doubt it.
It will fall flat over his salary and transfer fee.

Plus the only spot left for him is Ramsey leaves for Juve to make way for him.

or ideally, Ozil moves away on loan to Inter.

"The idea is to be more unpredictable every year and be more difficult for the opponents to stop and nullify what we want to do. That’s what we have now, especially at the back and in the midfield the options we have, to open up the spaces, we have many more options than we had last year.” Mikel Arteta

Here is how the deal is going to work out:

#1 - Agree to sign Perisic on a permanent deal, even if it is in the summer.

#2 - Ozil moves in the other direction but only if Arsenal is willing to pay half of his salary.

Surely, Unai Emery will grab this offer as it means getting rid of a player he does not want, freeing up the salary that he can use to pay for his new buys, plus he gets Perisic.

If that deal gets rid of Ozil, then let's do it!

He has put in a transfer request apparently.
We won't be able to buy him.

Pray this will happen somehow.

He is the type of player that makes things happen, you can see in the semis against England how he fought and played on the edge. He is a type of player that forces things to happen, always wanting to effect the game himself. People were saying how good Modric was but Perisic was the one who drove the team - he was a lion with his agressive, physical play, and he is smart enough to get away with a lot of his physical play that other players gets called for. And he is a bona fide goalscorer. Still remember the screamer he scored against us in the CL for Dortmund.

He will add another dimension to the team, and fits Emery' pressing game to a T.

The club should sell whoever we need to sell to raise funds to get him.

Emery likes those type of players. Vitolo was like that when he was playing for Sevilla under Emery.

Well Arsenal's first bid (Β£10 and Sir Chips old Programme Collection) has been turned down.
Inter want Β£35 million

Surely Β£35 mil is too much for a 29 year old?

Yes, I was thinking to buy in summer but he wants out now and we aren't buying now.

We will end up with Cahill.

Agreed Perisic was beast in WC for Croatia better than Mordric.

Inter boss Luciano Spalletti on Perisic.

"These things happen in the transfer window, the player received an impressive proposal and was tempted. However, he then realised it was not a true offer, that he’d been conned, and took a step back."
