We defiantly need another striker in now before the January Transfer Window shuts.

That is a big blow for us, we can be hopeful of bringing somebody in but I won't be holding my breath. Maybe Vids will now get some consistent game time and show us what he can or can't do.

Kevin Long is more likely to start up front than Vydra. He has joined Ben Gibson on the Turf Moor naughty step.

Why has Vydra been put on the "naughty step" ?

It is just the impression I get Brian O’Neil whenever Sean is asked about Vydra. One interview he said that he doesn’t smile enough in training and when Vydra came on as a substitute against Peterborough in the FA Cup, Sean didn’t understand why the crowd were cheering him as it wasn’t like he scored 20 goals this season. For a manager who doesn’t usually criticize his players, these are some strange comments.

It is not unusual for managers to have irrational judgements of players. They either fancy you or they don't and forgive in one that they savage in another. He has cost a little too much for SD to "do negative" with this lad. Failure he needs to be reminded is on his toes not Vydra's.

After last night’s heroics, both Wood and Jay deserve a rest on Saturday. It would be nice to see what Vydra could do playing the full 90 minutes.
