What collapse at the end of the season!
I went to the 2nd leg of the play-off and after this I was starting to get well fed up with the play-offs.
On another note to "this day in history" , it was on this day in 2008 that Mark Kendall passed away.
Although I wouldn't say he was one of our greats, he was pretty solid in the two promotions from the bottom two divisions and played a crucial part and was a step up on some of the goalkeepers we had immediately before him.
I met him briefly once outside the ground and he seemed a really nice bloke.

Mark Kendall was a key man in that great team of the late 80s who brought us back from the brink. A terrific character who really engaged with the fans ..... often during the match! Very sadly, he died far too young
