lets face it, the reason we play so narrow is down to Morgan failing to allow Jackett to spend on a couple of half decent wingers... league 2 players don't and wont cut it like Wallace so Jacketts adept to adapt playing people out of position.

It's half hearted investment from the board as usual.. we may as well sell Dicko/ Afobe if we aren't going to mount a serious promotion challenge adequately replacing Sako. As the old adage goes, either do a job properly or not at all.. as it stands we are short of whats required, most fans know it yet we have to go down this absurd propaganda path again from the club about us wanting to get promoted. Action speak louder than words and we need at least 2 wide players on either side, Henry isn't good enough IMO and we don't have a left winger at all.

This squad is not good enough, end of.
The only surprising thing about last season was the relatively small amount of goals conceded.
This however was most likely down to a mixture of good goalkeeping and poor opposition forwards..
I don't now what the reason was, but last season was a poor championship. This season will be of a higher standard IMO.
We will be good going forward but will be exposed seriously at the back - expect loads of 2-2 and 3-3 type results.
Regarding that excuse for a goalkeeper - give him a train ticket.

i dont think the championship is a higher standard this year irish, the 3 teams who have come down are nothing special, the big problem is, as angry has said, we have become weaker and as tom has said above even when we do start the game well it dosent last long and we run out of steam well before the end of the match, and its getting worse, the first game against blackburn we played ok in patches, but with 20 mins to go we were hanging on for dear life, they could have scored 3 or 4 but for bad finishing, the game against newport we dident turn up at all, against hull we played well in the first half but again we were hanging on with 35 mins to go even when we made 1-1 it dident make any differance it was all hull, last night we were good for 30 mins and then it went all down hill, even with a 2 goal lead it wasent enough we ran out of steam again and were p#ss poor for the rest of the match, its dead easy to blame the keeper, ok they were 2 soft goals he let in, but it looked like last night and sunday as if the teams had swapped shirts, as good as we started those games we were f#cking awful for the rest of it, i know you cant play well all through the game but it dosent mean you have to be that bad, and the time we are playing that bad are getting longer

ive looked at the 2 goals again and they were 2 bad mistakes by the keeper, but they came from unchallenged shots and they were doing this all night, if things are not going right we cant change the midfield because all weve got is jack price who lets face would be lucky to get in any championship side and this is the problem throughout the squad, weve got 3 or 4 good players at this level and thats it, the rest of it is made up of a couple of promising kids who are probably not ready and journey men such as henry, vlp, edwards, goldbourne, etc so we shouldn't be surprised by any of this
