Wrexham look to bounce back after last Saturdays defeat to rivals Tranmere Rovers. Denis Smith won't know his side until the morning as injuries are fustrating the Wrexham manager.

Port Vale will give late fitness tests to Steve Brooker (groin), Micky Cummins and Craig James (both ankle). Defensive duo Sam Collins and George Pilkington and striker Adrian Littlejohn are all back in contention after missing the game against Wycombe.

Wrexham hope to recall midfielder Jim Whitley and striker Lee Jones after hamstring injuries.

Defender Brian Carey could be included despite a toe injury, but Darren Ferguson and Craig Morgan are banned.
