Nuno looks relaxed

Wolves face a 4300 mile round trip for their away leg match at FC Pyunic in Armenia this evening

Nuno Espirito Santo is very positive about this evening's test and says that steps have been taken to lessen the impact of the lngthy flights involved, and doesn't see it impacting on the opening PL Game at Leicester on Sunday. Fans can watch the game through Wolves TV for £5 and kick off is at 5pm.

Wolves Line-up: Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Dendoncker, Saiss, Moutinho, Vinagre, Jimenez, Jota

Subs: Ruddy, Kilman, Otto, Neves, Vallejo, Cultrone, Perry

I have paid the requisite £5 to be able to watch the game through the Official Site,, and will try to update board members as often as possible.

I tried to do that but nothing happened. I thought we could at least listen to it....

Hi Wolverina You would need to be a paid up member of the Official site, and then sign up for it. It's not a bad picture

Bright start from Pyunic & promising build up but ball is scooped high over the bar

wolverina
08/08/2019 17:07
Oh - the email I got didn't say that. Thought you just had to pay the £5 which I would have done -anyway - I'll follow you and the BBC website! UTW!

Two good breaks from Wolves - a shot from Raul well blocked then Vinagre puts a cross over the bar

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 17:17
Good controlled possession and attacking play from Wolves & both wing backs involved. Free kick to Pyunic comes to nothing

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 17:22
Lee Hendry is the guest commentator and he says the pitch is bobbly & favouring the home team

wolverina
08/08/2019 17:27
Well it may not be Molineux standard but we shouldn't be having too many problems with their so-called level. BBC website seems bored - discussing Cutrone etc. LOL

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 17:33
Much the same on here Wolverina!! Good break down left wing by Vinagre but his cross is too close to goalie

Matt Doherty opens the scoring for Wolves with a well taken left footed shot after being set up by Jota

Great about the goal - not about the booking....

Cheshire wolf

European Refereeing standards clearly in evidence, and the Armenians certainly know how to take full advantage of it.
Super break by Wolves sees Jota clear on edge of the area but he puts it over the bar

Jota shoots high. That one looked like goal 2

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 17:42
Raul caught offside which is a shame as it had been a very promising move

wolverina
08/08/2019 17:44
Could do with another before half-time...

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 17:44
Excellent goal for Wolves. Vinagre through the middle to Jota on the left and he unselfishly set up Raul who took his time, set himself and put it away.

And just as I posted that the magnificent Raul did it for me!

chicagowolf

Well worked second goal from Raul after a nice assist from Jota 2-0

Ivybridge Wolf
08/08/2019 17:48
How do you assess this opposition? No idea.

We are, on the other hand, looking good and total command.

Two very good goals emphatically dispatched!! (How did Jota miss his chance?)

Hi folks,
Playing catch-up, did have a stream but not reliable.
Seems we are coasting through this.

Obedient as ever Wolverina!!
Half time after quite an entertaining first half when Wolves have taken their time to find their feet then exert their superiority. Two well taken goals which both involved the wing backs. Solid in defence and have restricted the Armenians to two efforts high over the bar. Let's hope we can build on the lead in the second half. Also waiting to see if our two new boys will get a taste of the action.

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 18:06
No changes to team for 2nd half, but Raul immediately increases our lead after being set up just inside their half by Jota and striding away to bury it.

What can I say - I asked for a third goal - I think I might be mentally joined to Raul!!! Gotta love that man!

Cheshire wolf

Long distance shot from outside area well collected by Rui

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 18:18
Good header by Raul cleared off the line
Vinagre creates a chance for Leander but his header is blocked

I forgot last Thurs Ivy hence I am bottom of the pile!!!

Neves gives the ball away and lets Pyunik in, but their header is easily taken by Rui

3rd goal seems to have killed the match. Good

Wolves pretty much playing possession football now - possibly to save energy for Sunday, but still capable of a break if possible

Cheshire wolf
08/08/2019 18:46
A fan is being dragged off the pitch at Pyunik goal end

wolverina
08/08/2019 18:48
Is it a Pyunik fan?

Cheshire wolf

Into last minute and Wolves lead looks untouchable.

Cutrone brought down in area and awarded a penalty which Neves will take

4 - 0 - Wolves biggest ever win on the road in European competition

Ivybridge Wolf

Second half neatly top and tailed with goals. Cast iron penalty, well taken and scored by Neves.
Pyunik have totally crumbled after trying hard in the first half.
Apparently our biggest European away win but we’ve had much better opposition in the past

Some of the Wolves youngsters can surely look forward to playing in the return game now considering the lead we have.

Full Time Pyunic 0 Wolves 4. A comprehensive win over a team that never really had much chance against our well organised team.
