Wolves face a 4300 mile round trip for their away leg match at FC Pyunic in Armenia this evening
Nuno Espirito Santo is very positive about this evening's test and says that steps have been taken to lessen the impact of the lngthy flights involved, and doesn't see it impacting on the opening PL Game at Leicester on Sunday. Fans can watch the game through Wolves TV for £5 and kick off is at 5pm.
Well it may not be Molineux standard but we shouldn't be having too many problems with their so-called level. BBC website seems bored - discussing Cutrone etc. LOL
European Refereeing standards clearly in evidence, and the Armenians certainly know how to take full advantage of it.
Super break by Wolves sees Jota clear on edge of the area but he puts it over the bar
Excellent goal for Wolves. Vinagre through the middle to Jota on the left and he unselfishly set up Raul who took his time, set himself and put it away.
Pyunic 0 Wolves 2
wolverina And just as I posted that the magnificent Raul did it for me!
Obedient as ever Wolverina!!
Half time after quite an entertaining first half when Wolves have taken their time to find their feet then exert their superiority. Two well taken goals which both involved the wing backs. Solid in defence and have restricted the Armenians to two efforts high over the bar. Let's hope we can build on the lead in the second half. Also waiting to see if our two new boys will get a taste of the action.
No changes to team for 2nd half, but Raul immediately increases our lead after being set up just inside their half by Jota and striding away to bury it.
Pyunik 0 Wolves 3
Second half neatly top and tailed with goals. Cast iron penalty, well taken and scored by Neves.
Pyunik have totally crumbled after trying hard in the first half.
Apparently our biggest European away win but we’ve had much better opposition in the past
FT 0-4
UTW!
