Will do my best to keep you appraised Pete

Usual team fielded except for the suspended Neves, replaced by Alfred N'Daiye, who gets in over Jack Price

I would have thought Price the more likely replacement but I wouldn't be so stupid as to disagree with Nuno. I've had a nasty feeling about this match all day.

First foul on Jota gets their defender a talking too which is good to see

Wolves take the lead after 3 attempts. Leo gets it in the end after the refs watch confirms it crossed the line

Their defender Roberts gets a yellow for a second dreadful foul on Jota. He's very lucky it wasn't red

In fairness to Jota he's only little but he really gets some hard knocks, now getting treatment for a bloodied nose - & it's his 21st b'day!!

Yeah, on the Beeb comments they reckon that it could easily have been red

Cav makes a great tackle then moves forward & smashes the ball way over the bar!

Looking in complete control at the moment but need to put them to the sword sooner rather than later.

Jota sets up the shot but it's poor by his standards

Nuno's just given Cav a right roasting for some reason from the sideline

Allowing Brum too much respect, need to assert ourselves a little more or we could concede and then find ourselves on the back foot.
Brum slowly gaining confidence.

Blues will be a bit more fired up in 2nd half if they want anything from this. But it is still nervy at 0-1

Costa should replace Cav for second half.

2nd half underway. No changes for Wolves. Their expensive striker Jota taken off & replaced by Wolves trainee Stephen Gleason.
Good attack by Wolves leads to corner which comes to nothing

Gelderland Costa coming on for Cavaleiro just after Jota screws up a great chance

N'Daiye lost his rag with Kleftenbeld & perhaps lucky to get a yellow card. Che Adams on for Brum & he can be dangerous.
Good attack by Wolves but side netting from Jota

N'Daiye playing further forward now.

Bright Enobhokhare on for Saiss who was hurt in a tackle.

David Davis on for Brum

That's it Brum 0 Wolves 1.
A really disappointing 2nd half after a promising start.
A tetchy game at times with Dean sent off for a silly aggressive outburst & 2nd yellow
Nuno didn't look happy at full time!!

I don't think we was lucky to win all three. We should have won by a larger margin. Yes brum had the better of the second half but they never really threatened our goal. Both Jota and Costa should have given us breathing space.

I cant see how we were lucky, Birmingham failed to get one shot on target!!!
This was a big win, ok the performance wasn't great but sometimes you have to won ugly.
It was an away game and local derby!
Onwards and upwards!

Poor performance overall but lovely to get 3 points under such circumstances. Nowhere near as good as we were even at Reading. Lacklustre, especially 2nd half, but I still think we worked hard in closing Blues down. Let’s face it Blues were awful.

Jota got some treatment again, Costa had a dreadful cameo, thought Boly, Bennett and Coady all played well.

Onwards and upwards, back to Molineux versus the Black Cats and hopefully another 3 points to the total! Can’t play as badly twice on the trot?

Anyway, playing poorly and winning ........ complete the well known football cliche ..... sign of a good team!

UTW!

Great result; going really well.
Nuno made me smile a little bit in his post-match comments when he said they might have been a bit stale after the longer than unusual break. He is usually commenting on the extremely-short gap between matches.
Nevertheless he is a Star Man; (hands off, Real Madrid!)
