Following the recent poor run of results, it seems that the West Ham United board of directors have lost faith in Alan Pardew, who, by his own admission, has the best squad in the Championship and yet has failed to keep in touch with the top two teams. Gordon Strachan, who has already turned down managment posts at Blackburn, Baggies and Southampton, is apparently on the the Hammer's board's short list to take over the reins of a club that will go into free fall once the Premiership parachute payments stop at the end of the season!
