cmon the rovers, 3 pts today and also on Tuesday and hopefully Lincolns exertions today will mean they drop points on Tuesday and we are right back in it.
Fantastic win. Only the 3rd game I've missed this season, home and away including cups, but according to some I can't comment. Hoots.
Therefore its been a pleasure and yes after a few 🍻 I'll post just to get a response, but at the end of the day I'm white through and through. Good luck to you all, but a forum were you can't post if you were not there is not for me. So sorry can't comment on Lincoln today, because I wasn't at their game either. All the best, as peter jones would say "I'm out"

well I haven't been to an away game in years but I usually listen to the full commentary. I'm presuming the commentators are at the game so still feel I can give an opinion.
So here it is , SOUNDED like a really good performance and the perfect way to bounce back from what felt like a defeat at home to Bromley. I won't go on to much but getting more and more impressed with young Ben Tollitt, what a signing. Also sounded like Jack Dunn showed good promise and looks like he's certainly not been brought in to sit on the bench. Especially pleased for Norwood who has taken a lot of flak lately and probably will again as it SOUNDED like he missed a few good chances. However his performances seem to be getting better and for me he's still one of our best players.
Just came back from doing an enforced "big" shop with the Mrs. Great result and others went our way. Second time I've been on an enforced "big" shop this season and very similar results occurred last time. Perhaps I've found the solution to promotion! I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than do it every week though!
Talking of my Mrs, we have a Jack Russell that occasionally shares our bed. When I was overheard saying I'm getting fed up with the snoring dog she said "You shouldn't talk about little Jemima like that". Little does she know.....
p.s. great to see Norwood on the scoresheet. Beer will taste sweeter tonight!!
It was a good performance, it was a slightly shaky start , but once through the first 10 minutes we created a lot of chances, but failed to convert them. In the second half I can only remember Eastleigh having one real chance that Davies pushed away. Coming forward we created chance after chance, Dunn and Norwood both had great chances before and after Tollitt scored. I was happy to see Norwood score, it was notable that even after failing to convert his umpteenth chance the fans did not get on his back and still shouted encouragement, not long after he scored. While his finishing has been questionable of late his work rate certainly can't be. As for Tollitt. well he scored one and made one, he does seem to get two defenders assigned to him but he seems to be getting better at dealing with that now.
It could so easily been five or six goal margin. We missed guilt edge chances in the first half and both Norwood and Cook had opportunities that really should have been taken.
In the second half we really dominated..Maynard provided a mobility missing in recent games and Dunn and Tollit also caused problems with his pace.Norwood drove just wide when it looked easier to score than miss but he certainly deserved his goal and it may just trigger a revival for him.Tillit was certainly the one to catch the eye but for me Maynard would be my man of the match.McNulty also had a good game. The main threat came from Challoner like throw ins. That said I still thought the full backs were defensively vulnerable.Davies also showed uncertainty both in coming out for crosses and in commanding the box. He did however pull of a superb one handed save to preserve our lead.
Eastleigh were generally poor but any away win is a good result especially when all but Dover lost ground
From start to finish, man to man, we we're brilliant today. This first half we had 3 clear cut chances that we should have scored from (cook, Dunn and Nors). Then both teams had half chances as well. McNulty took a knock to the head, but with a bit of strapping carried on.
The second half came, and we absolutly hammered them. They couldn't handle Tollit or Dunn, with Tollit showing his class. Don't get me wrong, Dunn is fast and skillfull, but his final decisions were questionable at times today.
Maynard put himself about in the middle, Hughes changed the play and brought other players into the game. The back 5 were solid with Davies making a good save just before our Goal.
Tollit took his goal well, as to be expected with his current form. I think everyone was so pleased for Norwood to score, he worked so hard during the match and thoroughly deserved it, the fans were behind him the whole match. Cook put himself about all afternoon as well.
All in all, the perfect away day. Another club ticked off my list. A really nice place actually with a good fan base. Not what I was expecting!
I cannot believe how bad Eastleigh were-the worst performance by any team that we've played this season. They were absolutely dreadful.I said at the end of the first half that they couldn't be as bad in the second half-they were worse.
The pitch down the centre was awful. It was no wonder that players missed chances.Down the wings it was fine.If it had been a better pitch,we'd have got a hatful because we created loads of chances.
The best moment was when Norwood scored-his reaction and the reaction of his team mates-big hugs off a few of them at the end too.Hopefully that will do great things for his confidence. The number of fans that were made up for him was great to see.
Nobody had a bad game-McNulty was back to his best,Cook was marked out of it to a certain extent. Ihiekwe and Ridehalgh had an iffy first ten minutes but after that they were fine as was Vaughan.
The Eastleigh public address system was absolutely dreadful-just played record after record and said virtually nothing about the game. They played Three Lions three times, Vindaloo twice and another Lightning Seeds song twice! Our team was announced in a very strange order,1 Davies,9 Cook,24 Hughes-then the rest in no particular order. They didn't name our subs-to all intents and purposes we didn't have any.
The post mentioning me above will not be replied to[doesn't merit an answer]-but you read the other site .The amount of criticism and negativity from those who didn't go,were listening to the radio or whatever is quite mindboggling, including the one of the people who run the site.

Standing, whilst getting blinded by the sun for the first 20 minutes of the second half.
2 the moon Thought I'd see if the goals were on YouTube, and hey Presto the whole game is on there.
Just watched the second half, no wonder their pants at home, no atmos at all, are they growing carrots in between games. Just looked like a training game for Rovers. Much better balance without Wallace in there.

Maybe, just maybe, Tranmere made Eastleigh look bad?
Alongside Boreham Wood, Eastleigh have won just one league game in the last ten. This would suggest that they are currently pants and roll on Tuesday for more of the same. No one is suggesting Rovers didn't play well but Eastleigh and Boreham have the worst record in the league over those last ten games, which is not my opinion but fact.

Leyton Orient are currently "pants" but they still managed to win at Plymouth Argyle.
So it is to tranmere's credit they played well, regardless of who they were playing.

It's probably a bit of both. The Eastleigh forum says exactly what they think of their team.

Fact is that pre season they were among the strong contenders for promotion and any away win is not to be sniffed at.It has been our failure to beat teams like,Southport,York away and Bromley at home that has us playing catch up.For all Lincoln look good I am not convinced that they are better than us, but they are more consistent and perhaps more certain of which is their best side.

Standing, whilst getting blinded by the sun for the first 20 minutes of the second half.
I was sat down behind the goal[as close as I could get to the centre]about two thirds of the way up.

Ahhh so it was you causing the trouble with their fans then? Nice to see the police move about 40 of them on lol
