Quote:It's one of my local games too (other being Aldershot) but as you say the ground is pretty solid at the moment and no heatwave forecast.sparky100
Grounds been frozen solid down here and below freezing forecast for the next few nights. Not sure how well protected Wokings pitch is but would not be surprised if there's a pitch inspection. Hope not as it's my'local'game!

As I had non refundable train ticket to Woking, went for a day trip to London.Decided to go to Charlton v Scunthorpe, get to the ground-it's deserted apart from a mobile burger van, The ticket office was the only place that actually said the game was off[no reason shown]-a security man next door was the only person around.
Went to Charlton station and asked them how far away Ebbsfleet was-they said 40 minutes. Did my day travelcard cover it? ''No''
Did they play? Yes
So went to Greenwich[only 3 or 4 miles from Charlton] instead-the National Maritime museum, market and park which were all great-rescued the day [lovely sunny day but bit chilly].Tested the ground in the park-some ok,frosty and hard in patches!! Can probably see why it[Charlton] was postponed.
